Sticker making process

For many who’d like to know, here’s my sticker making process:

Before getting the stickers printed:

My stickers are mainly digital so what I do is come out with a design and arrange them in order so as to fill a full A3 canvas with my designs(I leave a border and never place my designs too near the edge of the canvas because the printer probably won't print that part out). I then arrange them in order to jam as much designs as I can in one A3 and it's also much easier when I cut the stickers at home.

After doing my designs in whatever programme, next thing I’d do is to save the image as a PDF file.Lastly, I get the files into my thumbdrive and they’re ready to be printed!

Where I print my stickers:

I actually print them wherever but most of the time I print them at a shop called ColorVizio (Sunshine Plaza).

Why some of you guys didn’t receive my stickers even though you gave me your house address:

Two reasons:

-One would be that I’m clearly busy with my personal life and I might delay the sticker mailing but it doesn’t mean I forgot about it. I will still send it out eventually, within a month of seeing your request.

***What I urge you guys NOT to do is to email me and bug me for stickers when it’s only been one week or so after you requested for them. At least email me one month or so after your request because overseas mailing can take about 1-2 weeks.***

-Second reason would be that you guys left your house address on my TAGBOARD. For those who wish to get robbed by leaving your address there please let me know so I won’t delete your tags in future.I don’t take a second glance when I see addresses on my tagboard. I delete them instantly so that’s one reason why you received nothing from me. Would appreciate it A LOT if you guys mail me instead.

Free stickers?

Why I’m giving stickers out free, locally and internationally:

I know free sounds fishy. But really, there’s no catch. It’s all good for you unless you wanna pay me for them. My only benefit in this would be that I get my artworks exposed especially when you stick them around for people to see how cute my stuff is.

Expensive? Yes.

Digital or Traditional?

Vinyl stickers done digitally or hand drawn?

My stickers are mainly vinyl but I accept any form of stickers as long as they are done by YOU be it traditionally or digitally. Designs done on computer doesn’t have to be printed on vinyl stickers unless you want to do it.

If you’d really like to sticker trade with me but have no idea how to, here’s how :

The sticker trading process:

-We exchange home addresses via EMAIL.

-In the email you can include the number of stickers you’re trading otherwise I take it you’re sending the usual amount of about 15-25.

-Go to the nearest P.O box and get them mailed!

How Mobo came about

How did Mobo come about?

“Mobo” is a movement with one specific philosophy - Ugly is beautiful, simple is elaborate, ordinary is extraordinary.

He is an organic created in a form of a mushroom because 7ad used to think mushrooms were ugly and gross but didn’t realize it took some form of acquired taste. Mobo first appeared in 7ad’s life when she was 15yrs old. Coincidentally, it was the period when pieces in her life started to pick themselves up.

Basically, 7ad wasn’t born a very optimistic girl and she wasn’t always nice or sweet. She didn’t really find meaning in life until… (we’ll get to that part later) And when you’re none of the above, obviously you’re not living your life too well.

At 15 however, 7ad met Mobo in one of her sketchbooks. She didn’t really remember even drawing him, not surprising since 7ad was probably never sober between the age of 13 and 14.Among tens of creatures and characters 7ad drew in school, what really caught her eye was Mobo, which she named Frosty for whatever reason before deciding to change it to Mobo.

After much of trying to figure out why God decided to put Mobo in 7ad’s life, she finally got it. I’d say 7ad isn’t a very bright girl but anyway it was only then that she started to realize how cute mushrooms can be if you really looked at it.

From there, it wasn’t just mushrooms that she changed her perspective of, but life.

Hopefully her message can one day change any negativity of people’s thoughts on the beauty of things in life.

About Mobo?

Mobo is a mushroom. And he’s proud of that fact. Don’t call him a fungus though because he’ll blow his top off. Literally.

Any mom would love to have Mobo as their own because he’s just the best kid in the world. He picks up after himself and he’s a good cook as well. Or at least he tries. You shouldn’t get him to serve the dishes though because you know what’ll happen.

When you’re sad or down, trust Mobo to be there for you. So maybe he doesn’t get it when you’re upset but he sure knows when you need him. He smells like apples and wet earth so it’s nice to hug him if you like his smell.

Mobo isn’t very good at sports because as anyone can see, he’s got short, stubby legs making it difficult to run or even walk. Thus the “don’t-get-him-to-serve-the-dishes” part.

Mobo loves humans and wishes for them to love him back.

7-ad hopes just as much.

About 7-ad?

An introvert and an extrovert. A left brainer and a right brainer. An occasional risk taker. 7-ad dreams of polka dots eating children all the time.

But most importantly, a dedicated artist/illustrator/designer wanna-be. She dreams a lot and sleeps a lot. When she’s not hanging out with her lovely friends, she’d be sitting in front of her buddeh, the amazing BenQ computer checking out art sites to feed her art cravings, replying emails, notes and messages or doodling in her little sketchbook. She also hangs out often with Ashley, her new cutting mat, because she cuts her stickers manually.

In case you’re wondering how much more “no-life” 7-ad can get, I’d say very much more. Because if anyone can ever catch her playing video games or the xbox or wii or ps or whatever asdfgh there is now, please do snap a picture and keep it til the day you die. Chances are, you’re never gonna see it twice. Oh, and same goes for shopping.

Music gets her art going. You have completely no idea how much it influences her life. Just know she has stopped listening to music at night while she sleeps after encountering the strangest and weirdest experience ever. When no one’s around she secretly pretends she’s calling someone on her mobile phone when actually she’s really just listening to songs from her favourite band, Angels and Airwaves. Of course nobody knows.When she’s doing art though, 7-ad listens to songs by Sarah McLachlan and Corrinne May because “it soothes the soul”.

Her hobbies apart from doing the same old art stuff would be cycling, skating, soccer-ing, playing rounders and her all time favourite game of marbles and coins. She hasn’t done most of them except for cycling in a very long time. (She’s cycles to the post office every Friday, not because she wants to but because she’s almost always late. She comes in when they’re turning over the sign at the door).

LASTLY, 7-ad thoroughly enjoys sticker trading. One reason for that is because she gets the cheap thrill of receiving letters from overseas and she thinks it’s fun to dig into the mailbox and see fancy envelopes all the way from America, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Poland and everywhere else around the globe.
